Students that are majoring in Microbiology can apply for a biology scholarship through the L. S. McClung Scholarship in Microbiology. This scholarship is for Indiana resident who plan to work in the field of Microbiology and have an overall GPA of 2.00 or higher and a science GPA of 3.00 or higher. The recipient of this award receives $2000. This biology scholarship also requires a letter of support from a Biology Department faculty member.

Other biology scholarships are available at both major and minor universities across the United States. Biology students can receive awards of $250 up to $5000 or more! Some awards go directly towards a student's tuition or loans while others can be used as the student sees fit. Biology scholarships can relieve a great deal of pressure and students who apply for and receive scholarship awards will have a big advantage over other students. With more time to concentrate on their studies and less need to work at a job, students will be able to give their studies all the attention it deserves.
