The Master of Science in Education with a specialization in training and performance improvement from Capella University is based on the Human Performance Improvement Model that has been developed by the American Society of Training and Development. This model is used in many advanced adult training and performance improvement programs offered throughout North America. The program uses core features to allow students to analyze, evaluate, and make appropriate changes to the systems they work in to facilitate change and improvement.
Graduates of the program will also complete classes in management of training programs, performance improvement, monitoring and assessing systems and improvements as well as performance improvement in various setting and workplace environments. Graduates will find employment as consultants, administrators of professional development programs or as district improvement and training specialists. Some may also work for large corporations or industries in training and performance improvement careers.
