A Master of Science in critical incident management prepares graduates to handle emergency situations within the community as well as plan for and prepare emergency procedures. The program applies management skills to such diverse issues as severe weather conditions, terrorism, man-made disasters and chemical spills or large fires. The goal of the program is to have professionals in law enforcement, private sector companies and business and local, state and federal governments trained to prepare and respond to these incidents should the need arise.
The program will look at evaluating community resources, developing emergency evaluation and care plans, coordination of first responders and law enforcement departments as well as organization for shelters and first aid centers.
