Courses in the MBA in general business studies come from a variety of fields and are designed to provide a strong foundation in understanding business management and administration. These courses will include topics such as human resource management and development, financial management and business accounting, effective leadership skills, decision making processes and strategies, and operational and organizational structure and management. Students will also learn how to be effective managers and how to effectively communicate to enhance collaborate working environments.
In addition students may wish to focus on marketing and sales, technology in business, or even international business or online markets and e-business. Most students will complete courses in all areas, working to expand their understanding of the role of management in operating, maintaining and developing businesses. Graduates will find careers in mid to upper level management positions in non-profit agencies, government organizations and companies and businesses.
