The constantly changing world of investment regulations and laws as well as taxation is the focus of this program of study. Graduates in the program will learn the skills needed to become financial planning consultants, analysts, taxation consultants or managers of finance or development departments with small or large companies or businesses. The program is focused on using technology in financial planning, as well as how to prepare financial reports and communicate options to businesses or individuals. Emphasis will be placed on the ethical and legal considerations in this type of career.
There are a variety of courses that students can choose from including risk assessment and evaluation, estate planning, annuities and trust accounts, investment practices and principles, advanced federal taxation and management of compensation and benefits to employees. Students will choose areas of interest to make the degree applicable to the type of career that they wish to pursue.
