A degree in a Master of Business Administration in accounting and information systems will provide students with in depth knowledge of the latest in technology in business information systems and accounting practices. Graduates of the program will be eligible for careers in managing accounting departments, overall office management positions and more senior positions. In addition graduates will have had the opportunity to use and learn the latest in accounting software and programs, as well as the constantly changing information systems used in businesses today.
Students can anticipate completing advanced level systems courses including data mining, information systems risks and controls, advanced assurance, security issues, plus advanced level accounting principles and practices. Auditing, taxation and business management classes may also be included in the program. Students will have the ability to focus on topics and areas of interest while still finishing all required courses.
