The goal of the Master of Education in Special Education program is for educators to learn how to sharpen their teaching skills and better serve students that have physical disabilities or learning disabilities. Special education is an extremely important and necessary subject of study, as many learners have difficulties learning or functioning in a regular or typical classroom setting. These students require individualized instruction and special attention from special education teachers. The object of the special education program is finding suitable ways to keep these students on the same accomplishment level as other students in the class, by creating specialized curriculums that meet the disabled student's needs.
Completion of the master of education in special education program gives graduates the opportunity to enter into positions as instructors that work with students that have physical and learning disabilities.
