The Bachelor of Business Administration in legal studies is different than law degree. The BBA in legal studies allows graduates to understand the legal implications of business decisions ranging from lawsuits through to contracts and acquisitions. Legal studies graduates are often hired by business in an advisory or consultant positions, or as the liaison between the business and the attorneys that may be representing the business in a legal issue or pending legal action.
Upon graduation students will understand business law matters as they pertain to all aspects of business operations from human resources through to ethical concerns in international or global marketplaces. They will also complete actual legal research, prepare reports and advisories based on research, and have experience in writing basic legal documents that apply to businesses. These documents include policies and procedures information, contracts, union/management agreements as well as understanding conflict resolution modes such as arbitration, mediation and negotiation.
