Students who want to work in finance departments for corporations, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and others will need to enhance their communication skills, analytical skills, and presentation skills in order to perform the duties asked of them every day. This degree program teaches students these skills and more. Understanding how finance plays into the day to day operations of any organization and being able to facilitate budgets, work with different departments within an organization, and analyze data are additional skills students will learn.
Courses students will need to complete in order to earn their degree include finance, human relations, public speaking, project management, and data analysis. Students will be able to find employment as investment banking, insurance, corporate finance, and as analysts in financial markets. As companies delve further into the global marketplace, finance analysts will be needed for advice, budget approvals on projects, and cost analysis.
