Having an understanding of the legal terms that are used in contracts and being able to draft contracts for both the private and public sectors is the goal of this degree program. Students will learn not only how to read these documents, but also the laws behind them that make them legal contracts. Contracts are used in all areas of business are sometimes the only document needed when closing a business deal. This is why contracts must include specific language and outline all business terms.
Courses that students will have to complete include legal terminology, project management, drafting and editing contracts, and business law. Students will be able to find employment in various industries and will have to learn the legal terminology that governs them. Having a background in drafting contracts will help them further their career and enable them to not only create contracts, but lead teams in doing so.
