University of Maryland College Park

One of the original pioneers in developing and providing distance education to students in the University of Maryland, that wanted to provide students who could not attend a traditional campus-based program with an education. The university first began providing distance courses to students in 1947 and is accredited through the Commission of Higher Education Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. As an educational facility, the university offers students a wide variety of programs that allows them to choose areas of interest from a wide range of acedemic endeavours.

Today, the University of Maryland offers online students access to various databases and library systems at any time of day or night. Students can access services at several different campuses affiliated with the University of Maryland. Students from across the United States, including international students, can access online libraries or have books delivered via mail for study and research purposes. There is also online support to military personnel stationed in Asia and Europe, as well as those based in the United States. Since the University of Maryland offers 24-hour access to class materials, coursework and lectures, students find the programming relevant, easy, and convenient even with the most rigorous and busy schedules.
