The Art Institute Online - College

The Art Institute Online

The Art Institute Online is an educational institution that was developed by The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. It was developed as a way for people to explore new career options or to expand their knowledge of the arts. At the Art Institute, students can choose from over 10 degree programs. Students are only required to complete three assignments per week, depending on the program which they are enrolled.

The classes are taught online, using lectures, online learning materials and message boards. The online interface is meant to encourage discussion. The instructors are trained using the principles of the Socrates Distance Learning Technologies Group. The instructors are required to complete 100 hours of training before beginning to teach online classes. As such, students are given expert instruction and guidance from teachers who are well-educated and who understand online education.

The coursework at The Art Institute Online is developed by the faculty and will gradually build in increasing difficulty so that students feel challenged. Reading materials and visual aides are available online to help students better understand the concepts and theories presented in the coursework. All materials are releveant to the lessons presented.

At The Art Institute Online, students will get an education that can apply to advertising, culinary management, fashion and retail management, game art and design, graphic design, hotel and restaurant management, interior design, interactive media design, media areas and animation.
