Terms of Use and Privacy Policy for Use of CollegeDegree.com (Effective Date 2/5/2016)

Thank you for your interest in using our website content and services. The purpose of this document is to explain how CollegeDegree.com gathers and applies different types of information in order to bring you relevant content and related products and services. We assume that by using our website you agree to our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.

We typically collect information in two ways:

Submitted information

This is the information that you voluntarily submit on web forms and includes personal contact information like your name, telephone number, mailing address, and email address. We provide these forms in order to fulfill the services requested by our visitors and to match you to an education product or service. We collect the contact information you submit, store it, and share it with schools and other third parties to provide you with information about schools, programs, and educational services, as necessary.

Your voluntary submission of personal contact information authorizes CollegeDegree.com - and our affiliated schools and partners - to contact you by telephone, text messages, email, or mail, in accordance with all applicable laws, regarding educational options or related topics. If you receive any email communications from us, a school, or third party and wish to unsubscribe, you will always be afforded the ability to do so through a link in the email. By choosing to opt out, you will be removed from further mailings from that sender.

Automatic information

Whenever you interact with CollegeDegree.org, we also receive and store certain types of anonymous information, as most websites do. We use this information to make improvements to our site and to create a more relevant user experience. We use "cookies," for example, to collect anonymous data for analytics, site optimization, and for tailored marketing and advertising. Anonymous data might include, but is not necessarily limited to, the browser and operating system you are using and your IP address. More information about our use of cookies can be found below.

By your use of our website, CollegeDegree.com assumes you acknowledge and agree that information we collect on our website may be shared with schools, affiliated companies, and third parties, to provide you with information about degree programs and to inform you of other education-related products and services. We also assume, by your use of our website, that you also acknowledge and agree with our right to release any information we collect through these methods - personally identifiable or otherwise -- to businesses providing administration services to our company, for example: email service delivery.

When you submit personal information to CollegeDegree.com, you grant us and our affiliated entities -- including schools, third party marketing partners, and vendors -- permission to contact you via telephone, text messages, email, or mail to provide information, marketing or otherwise, for education- related services and products. When you submit personal information you also grant us, our affiliates, and partners and vendors, the right to contact you and you relinquish any rights granted to you by the Do Not Call list or other applicable law, for a period of time. Through your submission of personal information, you effectively omit Do Not Call requirements established by state and federal governments and may also provide exemption for us from other applicable laws.

Through your submission of personal information, you also allow us the right to release that information in instances required by law, for example to abide by a subpoena or other legal procedure. We exercise this option in good faith when we believe it is necessary to preserve our rights, ensure your safety or the safety of others, and explore alleged fraud. We also might exercise this option to reply to a government or legal request, and/or in the event that CollegeDegree.org enters into a merger, acquisition, or sale of some or all of its assets to a third party.
