Distance Learning & Online Organizational Management Degree Programs
For those that are interested in developing effective and efficient management systems within a variety of types of businesses including government agencies, nonprofits and for profit companies a degree in organizational management will be the ideal course of study. This program will allow graduates to understand the dynamics and fundamentals of organizational management as well as becoming familiar with various management styles and how they impact the overall performance of a company, organization or business.
Courses that are completed in the program will vary from student to student but the general classes will include human resource management, accounting and finance basics, general operational management, decision making, effective communication and interpersonal skills and leadership issues. In addition students may also choose to focus in on specific areas including technology, sales and marketing, supply chain and distribution, international business, computer based business or information technology. The benefit of the specialization is that it allows those students with prior experience or areas of expertise to highlight this knowledge while still working within the organizational management field. Classes will focus on both the theoretical and conceptual aspects of business and organizational management as well as the practical and hands-on skills needed to find employment within the workplace.
Effective communication, decision making and leadership skills will also be developed throughout the program of study. Students will have access to the latest in technology and programs used within various types of businesses in management and leadership positions. Students will also learn the various issues regarding ethical and legal issues in business management and organizational management, as well as the challenges and difficulties that those in management positions face. Graduates will have a strong foundation to face these challenges with techniques and strategies that are both effective and research based.
