Most students that are entering a degree program in electrical engineering have already worked within the field as electricians, apprentices, or electrical technicians within a specific type of electrical work.
Throughout the program students will develop their ability to problem solve, troubleshoot and work in teams as both team members and leaders. They will learn effective communication, research techniques and logical and sequential approaches to challenges and problems within the field of electrical engineering. Graduates will have little difficulty in finding work, especially if they choose to complete additional courses in computer technology or advanced electrical systems, circuitry or microelectronics that are used in new computer system development.
