Distance Learning & Online E-Commerce & E-Business Degree Programs
With the growing markets, either internationally, nationally or locally, relying on internet sales and marketing for their advertising and sales a degree in e-business and e-commerce makes graduates highly desirable in most companies and businesses. Graduates may be hired by large or international companies or even by local businesses that complete daily transactions through the use of the world wide web or online sales. Small companies wishing to compete in the e-commerce and e-business field can also use the services of a graduate of this program both to establish online sales and marketing as well as to troubleshoot and monitor the service.
The courses in this degree program combine both business management as well as internet and computer based technology courses. Students will complete courses in financial management, business management, strategic and operational planning, online security, web design, global markets, legal issues with regards to international online business as well as accounting and taxation issues. Supply chain management, distribution, shipping and acquisitions and inventory control will also be addressed within the various courses. Some students may choose to take advanced level courses in marketing strategies on the web as well as multimedia web presentations and web design specific to marketing and product sales over the internet.
Graduates of the program may be employed as full-time technical employees, department managers or project coordinators or managers, or they may choose to work as private consultants working on a contract by contract basis. Since the work is completed over the internet many professionals in the field work from home or remote work sites, which makes this a great opportunity for those that enjoy being their own boss. Many students combine a degree in e-commerce and e-business with a web design or information technology degree to allow them to provide a complete service to clients and customers.
