The School Nurse Certification program is designed to help students work towards becoming a school nurse. Courses will comprise of 24 credit hours and will cover topics like School Nursing Practice, Health and Disease Management, Health Assessment of the School-Age Child, Nursing Care of the Developmentally Disabled Child and Health Education. Graduates of the program will not only build on their existing nursing skills, but will also gain specialty training on working with children and within the educational environment to deliver care and educate.
