A Master of Science in human resource management and public relations are well prepared to enter the workforce as human resource directors and managers, public relations officers, workplace trainers, interdepartmental management coordinators as well as specialists in hiring, training and retaining staff within companies, industries and businesses. Some may also work for public administration departments as spokespeople, staffing coordinators and managers of personnel departments.
Training with the program in human resource management and public relations includes public speaking, communication, hiring and employee training procedures and policy development, compensation and benefit management, record keeping and technology and human resource management. Students will also have experience in conflict resolution, developing employee relations and working to develop a positive climate in the workplace. Graduates will also have experience in working in employment law and regulations within the workforce.
