Online learning has advanced dramatically since the first programs were offered years ago. A Master of Science in Education with a focus on instructional design for online learning allows teachers to prepare to provide the most effective and research based methods of teaching online to students of various ages and abilities. Teachers may be at any level of education including elementary, middle school, high school, college or university or even adult online education that is for general knowledge rather than working towards a specific goal.
Courses within the program will include instructional design for online programs, use of technology and computer application in online classes, monitoring and assessment of student learning in online formats, instructional trends in online learning and principles of instructional design for online courses.
