The Master of Science in Education in postsecondary and adult education will prepare graduates for a career in teaching adults in educational centers, community colleges, vocational colleges and universities. The advance of the MS in Education will allow students to learn the foundational programs and principles of adult education. Specific courses on training adults, how adults learn, and effective methods of motivating adult learners will be addressed throughout the program.
Emphasis in the program will be on curriculum design and development for adult learners, as well as the most effective methodology to use with adults. Additional courses on developing technology within the classroom as well as how to design and implement online classes for adults will also be included in the program. Students will focus on monitoring and assessing student progress as well as appropriate testing strategies for adults.
