Graduates of the Master of Science in computer science can find positions in IT departments, internet security departments, as network administrators, information technology managers, consultants and web administrators to name just a few career options. Students completing the Master of Science in computer science program will already have their bachelor level training in computers and will have typically had experience working in real world situations and careers within information or computer departments.
Students will have the opportunity to learn specific technology such as Microsoft Virtual Basic programming, Java and C++ as well as advanced computer applications, database development and management, software testing and applications and troubleshooting. Students will also gain experience in the operation of a computer, troubleshooting, and working with computer networking and bridges, routers and switches. Problem solving and working with multiple systems and users will be emphasized throughout the course of study.
