MPA in Homeland Security from Upper Iowa University

The Master of Public Administration in Homeland security is designed to be a highly practical course that will allow students to focus on their own particular area of expertise and interest. Typically students of the program are currently working in law enforcement, criminal justice, corrections or other security based position. The Master of Public Administration program gives students the theory they need to make effective decisions on issues of terrorism, natural disasters, and response to crisis and emergencies within the community or nationally.

Courses in the program will include an in depth look at the history of the Homeland securities department, a comprehensive overview of the structure and organizational management of the agency, as well as specific training on risk analysis, identification and tracking of domestic or international terrorists, security, technology in security and responses to natural and man-made disasters on various scales.
