With a Master of Business Administration in sports business the graduate is prepared to work in many different aspects of managing, marketing and providing organizational structure and support to a wide range of sports businesses, teams and sports organizations. Students will learn from personal experiences in the field as well as from actual case studies of current and historical sports organizations and teams how to effectively and profitably manage a local, professional or semi-professional sports team or manage a sports business.
Students will complete the basic Master of Business Administration program including courses on decision making, leadership skills, effective communication, marketing and sales, management, business accounting and financial planning, online marketing and sales and regulations and ethical considerations within sports businesses. Strategic planning and working as part of a sports management team will also be addressed within the program.
