Designed for professionals already working with the health care industry as managers, program supervisors or coordinators, the Master of Business Administration in health care administration focuses on the challenges and issues facing the leaders in the health care industry. Programs and classes will allow students to experience the various methodologies and practices used in health care management include issues such as technology and patient privacy, laws and ethical issues and challenges in health care, and financial management of health care facilities and hospitals. Students will also work on issues such as enhancing the effectiveness of patient care system, optimizing facility use and managing personnel within the facility.
Graduates of the Master of Business Administration in health care administration may work as hospital and health care facility managers, medical insurance claims professions, HMO or PPO coordinators, or as directors of patient services within large or small hospitals or health care facilities.
