Graduates of a program of study through the Master of Business Administration in health administration will be able to use their existing knowledge of health care procedures and practices to move into upper level management and administrative roles within hospitals, health care facilities, long term care facilities or nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. The program will included classes and coursework on advanced health care topics, ethical and legal issues in health care, evaluation of services, patient care systems, financial management of health care facilities and human resource develop within the agencies and organizations.
Emphasis throughout the program will be on effective leadership and decision making skills as well as the importance of team building and development within the system. Students will use actual examples and real world case studies in learning the various management models and how they apply to health care settings and environments.
