Professionals with a bachelor of accounting or business management program that wish to apply for their CPA standing will benefit from completing a Master of Business Administration in accounting through Upper Iowa University. The program is geared for those students that wish to pursue a CPA professional standing rather than being more general in scope. This focus on a goal allows the programs to challenge the student while providing both theoretical and practical learning on all aspects of advanced accounting principles and practices.
Courses in the program include financial management, planning and reporting, advanced accounting principles and practices, taxation and tax law, management and cost accounting as well as auditing practices and procedures. Students will also be given opportunities to learn about
non-profit accounting as well as for profit accounting procedures. Students will use real world case studies to apply their theoretical knowledge to practical applications using the latest in technology and accounting software programs.
