The Master of Business Administration in human resources management will prepare graduates for a career in human resources departments, as professional training and development professionals and as compensation managers. Some may also work as industrial relations officials, policy and protocols developers and as department managers in human resource fields. The field requires both a strategic approach to management as well as a strong ability to work with diverse groups of individuals.
Classes within the MBA in human resources program will include basic business courses and management programs as well as specialized courses in professional development training, compensation and benefits, policy development, hiring and termination of employment issues, staff monitoring and conflict resolution and communication. Effective leadership skills will be key points with in the study, with emphasis placed on the communication aspects of leadership and management as well as human behavior and employee assistance programs.
