As a very comprehensive and advanced level of training, a Master of Science in nursing allows nurses currently working in the health care field that have completed their Bachelor of Science in nursing to advance their education for increased skills an opportunities to move into senior and upper level clinical and administrative positions. The courses the students can anticipate taking include health care organization and structure, financial resource management, leadership and effective communication and courses relating to the regulatory, ethical and legal issues in health care administration.
Graduates from the program may work as nurse educators, researchers or managers in clinical or specialized settings.
