The Master of Arts English Language Learning program from Western Governors University focuses on various methodologies in teaching both non-English and English speaking students. This Masters Degree program develops both academic and professional skills and offers students the opportunity to broaden their understanding of language learning and teaching. WGU developed the program in order to earn endorsement in English Language Learning, or ESL. These programs are not intended for those with the desire read, write, and speak Spanish. It is also not designed to become a teacher in order to teach English in another country. This program is also only available for those students who have a license in teaching and have already obtained their undergraduate degree.
