The goal of the Bachelor of Science in technology and information management is to prepare the graduate to work in entry level positions within information technology departments in businesses. Some students may also find employment in more advanced levels of management depending on their specialization and additional technology courses or training. Students can specialize in databases management, technology, networking, hardware and software issues as well as applications.
The Bachelor of Science in technology and information management is designed to allow students to learn both the theory and the practical skills needed to plan, implement and evaluate information management systems and technology within a business. Courses will include LAN and WAN management and development, networking systems and programs, database management, programming basics and programming languages as well as software applications. The emphasis in the program will be on evaluation, analysis and troubleshooting.
