Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in public administration will be prepared to enter management level positions in government offices, public agencies and organizations and other civil employment opportunities such as fire and police departments. Health care services, nonprofit organizations and charities may also employ individuals trained in public administration. The graduates of the program will learn the history of public administration as well as the legal and ethical issues associated with working in the field. Students will have the opportunity to study and understand various governmental and administrative models used in public service and administration around the world.
Students in the Bachelor of Science in public administration program will take practical courses as well as the more theoretical classes. Courses will include financial management, human resource development and management, funding analysis and design and strategic planning and management. Organizational structure, leadership skills and communication courses will also be provided.
