Developed for leaders in businesses and organizations, the Bachelor of Science in management studies will encourage students to focus on the various management models as well as the ability to evaluate, analyze and assess the effectiveness of current management practices. Students will work through the theoretical aspects of management and then apply this to practical assignments and projects throughout the program of study. Effective communication skills, the use of technology in management and the ability to combine the two will be stressed throughout the degree program.
Courses in the Bachelor of Science in management studies will include topics such as organizational structure and strategic planning, human resource development and management, conflict resolution, effective communication, written skills, statistics, economics, financial planning, accounting and marketing. Students will all complete basic courses in these areas but may also specialize in an area of interest.
