The Bachelor of Science in management accounting is an ideal degree program for students that already have a background in either accounting or management and wish to specialize in either field. The combination of both disciples is natural in business and most upper level managers in business have some accounting background in their educational or work experience. Graduates may move directly into the accounting areas of business or may stay as more general managers with additional skills in accounting and financial management.
Courses in the program will include basic and advanced accounting principles and practices, technology in accounting and business management, ethical and legal issues in accounting and management, reporting of financials statements, financial planning for both short and long term as well as taxation, auditing and general business management courses.
