The Bachelor of Science in internetworking technology is designed to provide graduates with both the theory and the practical applications and skills to design and troubleshoot wide area networks or WANs and their interaction with local area networks or LANs. Students will learn the fundamental aspects of internetworking design, troubleshooting and problem solving issues with the implementation of the WAN or LAN as well as how to monitor, evaluate and assess current systems to upgrade or enhance their abilities to provide secure information transfer in businesses and between businesses and clients.

The graduates of the program will have a strong foundation in internetworking technology including the uses of switches, routers and bridges and their potential challenges within the LAN or WAN system. Students will also learn how to provide security to both types of systems as well as to complete risk assessments and security checks on networks.
