The network design and management program in the Bachelor of Science in information technology will allow students to complete their MCSE or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer certification as well as their bachelor's degree. The goal of the program is to allow students to learn the theoretical aspects of planning, designing, implementing and managing the various types of networks that are used in information technology systems in businesses today. Students will gain experience in the practical applications as well at the theoretical concepts. There will be abundant opportunities for students to implement their knowledge in cutting edge programming and design in class assignments and projects.
Courses will allow students to become proficient in logically and sequentially designing, managing and troubleshooting issues within networking systems. Students will have experience in working with bridges, switches and routers as well as local and wide area networks and their interactions.
