Classes within the Bachelor of Science in human resource management include topics such as team building, leadership, effective communications, conflict resolution, compensation and benefits, workplace environments and multicultural sensitivity and awareness. In addition training in staffing, hiring and training and even in the legal considerations in dismissing staff and handling issues such as corporate downsizing. Students will also learn about effective decision making, policy development and working with employee assistant programs and services.
Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in human resource management will be able to find employment in employee and personnel management positions, as staff trainers and developers or as entry level human resource managers. With additional education they may also move on to take advanced educational programs and then work as consultants, advisors and even staffing managers or hiring specialists and recruiters.
