The Bachelor of Science in health administration will prepare professionals currently working in the health care field to advance into management and supervisory positions within the field. Students will learn and discuss the theories behind effective health care management, organizational theory and the effective treatment of patients within health care systems. Graduates will be able to enter into management, research and consulting positions within the health care system.
The focus of the program will be on research, effective analysis and evaluation of current health care systems and the study of various models of health care and health care management. In addition students will complete basic management courses including financial planning and management, human resource management and development, technology and information systems in health care administration and security, regulations and legal and ethical considerations. Courses will use real world applications and examples to make course work practical.
