Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in business with a major concentration areas of information systems will be uniquely qualified to help businesses improve, develop and implement secure and effective information systems to keep their business running efficiently and effectively. The emphasis in the program will be in understanding the theoretical concepts behind developing, monitoring and troubleshooting information systems and information retrieval and also gaining a strong practical background in the physical implementation of the system.
Courses will include topics such as critical thinking and problem solving, communication and leadership skills, computer applications, databases, networking, online security, project planning and management as well as evaluation and assessment of technology. Students will also have experience in budget planning, operational management and training others in the use of technology and information systems.
