Graduates of the Bachelor of Science in visual communications will be able to prepare, present and effectively provide various types of information through visual media. This would allow them to find careers as public relations officers, professional speakers, workshop and curriculum developers, and communication and liaison workers between various aspects of businesses, government agencies and even private companies.
A degree in visual communications will cover issues such as communication studies, multiculturalism and cultural diversity in communication, technology in communication, web based programs and web design, information dissemination and working with specific populations. In addition students will study linguistics, conflict resolution, effective communication skills and working towards team building and collaboration rather than competition in the workplace. Additional areas of focus may be television, video production, documentaries, journalism or even engineering and computer software development.
