A degree in business accounting technology will teach students how to analyze business documents, create budget plans, and make suggestions as to how to manage finances and allocate funds. Students will be able to find employment in many accounting departments for large corporations and government agencies, or in smaller businesses and non-profit organizations. Understanding what is needed for a business to be profitable is one of the skills students will learn as they complete their degree.
Courses in business finance, data analysis, accounting management, and fundamentals of accounting will need to be completed in order for students to earn their degree. Additional courses in accounting law and ethics will also be offered. By completing group projects and reading case studies, students will gain a lot of practical knowledge they can use on the job for many years to come as students progress through their career.
