There are many career opportunities for those who want to work in advertising, marketing, web site development, or who want to design clothing and other items. A degree in graphic design and multimedia will allow students to create logos, characters, pictures, and other art that is used mainly for advertising purposes. Being able to work with different forms of media will make students more marketable when they are looking for employment.
Courses students will have to complete include computer graphics, drawing, drafting, and 3-D design. Using different computer programs will help students be able to create new and original designs that they can put together when building a portfolio. Students will learn by completing assignments and demonstrating what they have learned. The skills learned from this degree program will allow students to work in various media and be able to create unique designs that are needed by businesses and others.
